Declo QB / FS Jeremy Jenkins vs. Aberdeen 9/5/09 Declo

Declo High School QB Jeremy Jenkins had a great game against co-#2 ranked Aberdeen. In the attached video, Jeremy first hits Brogan Thorne for a 50 yard gain. Jeremy then scores two plays later on a QB keeper. On the next offensive series, Jeremy hits WR McCoy Stoker for an 84 yard touchdown pass. In the second quarter, Jeremy rolls right and throws to Brandon Peteson who makes a nice diving catch for a 12 yard TD. Finally with just seconds to go in the 1st half, Jeremy, playing Free Safety, picks off the Aberdeed QB at the 3 yard line and goes 97 yards for the pick-6. Jeremy finished the 1st half 10-10 passing for 268 yards. The second string played most of the 2nd half as Declo won the game 51-8. If you can find another Magic Valley athlete who had a better game, let alone a first half, than that this week, pick them. But, if not, I think Jeremy would be a great choice for your Athlete of the Week.
