Wilson Theatre excited to host Alex Boyé in upcoming performance
RUPERT, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many events and performances to be canceled or postponed, especially in the entertainment industry.
The Wilson Theatre in Rupert strives to bring different performers and events to the Mini-Cassia area, offering entertainment and classes to many people in Southern Idaho.
On April 9, they will be hosting Alex Boyé, who will be performing for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Boyé was an America’s Got Talent Finalist, and just landed the lead in Hamilton in London. He is excited to be on stage again, and he encourages everyone who comes to the show to bring their dancing shoes.
“I didn’t think that I could ever appreciate music even more than I did now,” said Alex Boyé. “Just things that you look at like, the feeling of being in the audience, and singing songs, and some people know them and they sing them back to you, or just the simple experience like giving a high five or shaking their hand.”
Boyé currently lives in Salt Lake City and has performed in Idaho before, but never at the Wilson Theatre.
