Jerome’s Schneider breaks 4A 200 meter record at state

Taeo Schnieder’s time of 21.50 was good enough for a state title and multiple records

EAGLE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Taeo Schneider is in the Idaho record books after winning the 4A 200 meter state title Saturday.

The Jerome Tiger ran a time of 21.50, which is a classification record and school record. Schneider also finished second in the 100 meters and was the last leg of the 4X200 meter relay that finished in second by just .05 seconds.

Canyon Ridge’s boys won the 1600 Sprint Medley. A time of 3:34.31 helped Chris Perez, Cameron Higley, Aaron Seitz and Ryker Holtzen to the top of the leaderboard.

Hotlzen, a Wyoming signee, also finished in third in the 1600 meters.

Daulton Monkress of Twin Falls won the 400 meters with at time 49.27.

Twin Falls also took the 4X400 meter relay. Colton Rasmussen, James Noorlander, Jesus Herrera Barriga and Daulton Monkress won with a time of 3:28.42.

On the girls side of the 4X200 meter relay, Twin Falls placed third. The group of Mya Richardson, Tiffany Humphreys, Paige Beem, and Morgan Graham ran a time of 1:45.87.
