TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Twin Falls 2, Canyon Ridge 1: The third place game ended up being an all-Twin Falls affair on Saturday at the 4A state baseball championships.

Twin Falls knocked off their neighbors to the west in a low scoring contest.

For the Bruins, Otho Savage pitched a complete game, striking out eight. Jace Mahlke paced the Bruin offense with two hits and one RBI.

For the Riverhawks, Cole Rosas went four innings, while Kolten Price added two. Colten Funke had the team’s lone RBI.

Twin Falls also beat Bonneville in the tournament, but lost to the eventual state champion Bishop Kelly Friday night in the semi-final.

Third place is the Bruins’ highest finish at state since they won it all in 2017.

Kimberly 9, Snake River 3: Meanwhile, the Kimberly baseball team took third place over the weekend at the 3A state championships.

The Bulldogs went 2-1 at the tourney, beating Homedale and Snake River, while losing to Weiser.
