TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Boise State is landing one of the junior college’s top three-point shooters and best of all, CSI fans saw her making it rain all season long.

Kaitlin Burgess signed with the Broncos this week after putting together an All-American season. She is the first Golden Eagle to ink with BSU since Brittany Moore in 2007.

The team leader in scoring, Burgess won Region 18 Tournament MVP honors and made the Region 18 first team during the season. She averaged more than 13 points and four rebounds a game, shooting more than 47% from the three point line.

Burgess as well as CSI assistant coach and former Boise State player Reggie Larry took a tour of the facility to help her get familiarized.

The Broncos are coming off a 14-9 season, falling in the semi-finals of the Mountain West Tournament.

Prior to last season, the Broncos won the tournament four years in a row.

“Coach P {Presnell}, he had told me that they had been such a good three-point shooting team, they’ve won five out of the last seven Mountain West Championships, which is awesome,” Burgess exclaimed. “He said during that time they were known for their three-point shooting, but last year, they weren’t the greatest, so they’ll need to utilize me for sure.”

Broncos head coach Gordy Presnell had this to say about his incoming player, “we are excited to have Kaitlin join the Broncos,” Presnell said. “She was one of the top three-point shooters in the country at CSI and will help us stretch opposing defenses. She is a high-character person and fits perfectly to the type of student-athlete we want representing Boise State!”

The New Zealand native is the first NJCAA All-American to sign with Boise State since 2012.
