Summer hiring events going on in the Magic Valley
The first event is Wednesday
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —In response to the major demand for employees in the Magic Valley, the Idaho Department of Labor is putting together a summer hiring event series for the first time.
The first of four events is Wednesday and focuses on the health care industry. Around 30 employers will be outside the Department of Labor Building on Falls Avenue from 1-4 p.m.
Southern Idaho Economic Development and the College of Southern Idaho are working with the Department of Labor to help provide the opportunities.
“Even folks that are interested in getting into healthcare, we encourage them to come,” said Megan Beyer, manager of the Twin Falls branch of the Idaho Department of Labor. “We have large pockets of money over at the College of Southern Idaho, here at the Department of Labor, where we can help people get into school and often times provide free training to them,”
June 25, there will be a manufacturing hiring fair at the College of Southern Idaho (CSI) from 1-4 p.m.
Beyer says hundreds of jobs are available in the industry in the Magic Valley.
On July 16, there will be a multi-employer hiring event at the CSI from 1-4 p.m. There will be another multi-employer event at the same time on August 13 at CSI.
