Jerome County Sheriff’s investigating reported robbery
The occupant of the home is an 89-year-old woman
JEROME COUNTY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Jerome County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported robbery from earlier this week.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, they responded to a report of masked intruders entering a home east of Jerome near the I-84 truck stop Tuesday afternoon.
The office says masked individuals broke down the door and stole items, including firearms.
A car was also stolen, but has since been recovered. There have been no arrests in the case.
The occupant of the home is an 89-year-old woman. KMVT spoke with her son, Dennis Lanier.
“She’s very upset about the whole thing and she’s very anxious, she’s very confused on why and how it happened,“ he said.
The Sherriff’s Office says they are aware of a similar incident in Gooding County recently.
