Holland, Gary Leroy

GOODING—Gary Holland, 79, a resident of Gooding, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at his home in Gooding.

Gary was born on August 24, 1943 in Gooding, Idaho, the son of Floyd and Verlene Holland. He was raised and educated in Gooding. Gary married Leona Moody on October 11, 1963.

While growing up in Gooding and attending school, he worked alongside his father on the farm raising row crops and milking cows. After completing his high school years, he joined and eventually took over the farm and dairy. During his off time, he enjoyed fishing at a local reservoir in the foothills above Gooding. In the winter time, he enjoyed taking the family snowmobiling in the hills above Fairfield. In his retirement years, he enjoyed driving around and watching the other local farmers plant, grow, and harvest their crops.

He is survived by his wife - Leona; one son - Greg (Jill) Holland; one daughter - Vicki (John) Johnston and five grandchildren.

No funeral services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
