GLENNS FERRY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Gooding sophomore starting pitcher Evan Mendoza tossed an abbreviated perfect game in the Senators’ 15-0 run-rule win over Glenns Ferry.

Mendoza faced the minimum 12 batters through four innings, striking out nine on the way to the victory.

Mendoza also went 3-for-3 with two RBIs at the plate in game one.

Gooding won game two of the doubleheader 24-4. Freshman Cooper Rogers hit his first varsity home run.
