A father in Texas has been arrested after police allege he pulled a knife on his high school daughter's bullies.
Avery Ikeda works with every story at News Channel 6. She joined the station as a digital producer in August 2021, and became assignment editor in February of the next year. In this role, she develops story content for the newscasts and coordinates the team's journalists and photographers.
Born and raised in California, Avery has adopted Texas as her home -- or is it the other way around? The only thing she still struggles with is severe weather: her first go at producing a newscast was interrupted by a tornado, and she's held a grudge ever since.
