KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) On Saturday, The city of Kimberly presented its annual live Nativity scene to kickoff the Christmas celebrations.
The community gathered outside the L.A Thomas Memorial Gymnasium to watch the Nativity story come to life.
More than 200 families set up smaller displays of the Nativity inside the gymnasium for all to view.
"Everyone has a special Nativity to them and this is an opportunity to share with the community and those around, so they can see them, Lance Godfrey, president of Kimberly Business Owners Association. "Some are made out of different things, porcelain, you know there's just a lot of different, homemade. All kinds."
Food vendors set up to raise money for local organizations and causes.
To finish the festivities, Santa Clause paid a visit and a firework show lit up the sky for all to enjoy.
