IDAHO (KMVT/KSVT) First Federal held its semiannual foundation recipient luncheon Thursday, giving out money to 13 organizations.
The 13 charities, as well as First Federal employees gathered at Blue Lakes Country Club to celebrate the event.
About $38,000 was given to charities and organizations throughout the Magic Valley, including the Burley Bobcats Trap Team, Adaptive Cycling of Southern Idaho, and the Gooding Volunteer Group.
Foundation president Tom Ashenbrener called it one of the company's favorite days of the year.
“Fantastic organizations from throughout the Magic Valley that do a lot of great things to help people in our communities. And it's just a bunch of fun. And there's nothing better than giving away money,” Ashenberner explained.
By the end of the year, Ahenberner said they will give out about $70,000 to other charities and organizations.
