Accident sends one to hospital

KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) One person is in the hospital after being involved in a two vehicle crash northwest of Kimberly Tuesday night.

Idaho State Police said at approximately 5:40 p.m., two juveniles were driving north on 3400 East in a Nissan Sentra, when the driver stopped at the stop sign but failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle.

A Ford F350 pickup going east on US 30 then struck the side of the Nissan.

The pickup was driven by Travis J. Lind, of Declo. He had two passengers, Harvey J. Lind of Declo and Nikkolas R. Clark of Heyburn.

The driver of the Nissan was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

The roads were blocked for approximately two and a half hours.
