Big Wood River contaminants remain under federal threshold

By  |

HAILEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Good news for Blaine County residents concerned about the water quality.

Test results are back from the Department of Environmental Quality and all came back below the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL).

An MCL is the Environmental Protection Agency's legal threshold on the amount of contaminant that is allowed in public water systems under the Safe Drinking Water Act.

DEQ tested for metals like arsenic, zinc, and mercury – as well as bacteria. You can view the results through the link in the right-hand column.
