Clif Bar bakery officially open for business

After a year of construction, the Clif Bar Baking Company's newest facility officially opened Tuesday afternoon in Twin Falls.

The goal of Tuesday's ribbon cutting was to show people Clif Bar's commitment to the community. CEO Kevin Cleary says Clif Bar may be a big company, but that it isn't just about the financial bottom line.

"When we started out with this facility, one thing we knew is that we wanted it to reflect our values and when we say our values it means sustaining our business, our brands, our people, our community and our planet," said Cleary.

"We started off in Idaho producing sort of bare commodities and we just continue to add value to them and this is a good example," said Lt. Governor Brad Little.
