The crash occurred at about 1:40 p.m. Friday near U.S. Highway 93 and E 200 North, about eight miles north of Interstate 84 in Jerome County,

An Idaho State Police sergeant told a KMVT reporter at the scene that the two vehicle crash flipped at least one car on its side.

According to a news release, Debbie Turrentine, 52, of Jerome, drove eastbound on E 200 North and failed to stop at a stop sign. Turrentine was struck by a vehicle driven southbound on US 93 by Cristina Villa-Guzman, 25, of Shoshone.

Turrentine's vehicle came to rest on its side in a field. She was wearing a seat belt and died of her injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.
