"Create for Kids" fundraiser aims to help Boys and Girls Clubs

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) The season of giving is just around the corner and one local shop is making known their support for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Magic Valley.

Hands On is hosting the first Create for Kids event, a partnership with the the local boys and girls club organization.

Dozens of businesses have donated goods including a decorated Christmas tree for a grand prize giveaway.

Ashley Dubois, owner of Hands On told KMVT News their goal is to reach $1,500 in sales. All the proceeds will go toward the Boys and Girls Club.

"The Boys and Girls Clubs come here all summer long and they become more like family the kids do, so we wanted to give back," Dubois continued, "Some of the families are really struggling this year with buying gifts so we decided to make sure each kids that's having a hard time of getting Christmas will get Christmas."

Christmas trees are set up at Hands On, City Hall, and Plant Therapy with children's names on ornaments, were people can choose one and purchase a gift for that child.

The community can purchase the raffle tickets at Hands On, Plant Therapy or online.

Each ticket is $1, 10 for $5, or 50 for $25.

The winners will be announced by Hands On, Dec 15. at 7:00 p.m. via Facebook Live.
