On Saturday, Jodi Petty, 48 of Fairfield, was arrested by the Blaine County Sheriff's Office after it was discovered she had inappropriate relations with an inmate in December of 2018.

Petty worked for Summit Food Services, who was contracted to provide food services to the jail.

According to the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office news release, kitchen staff worked alongside inmates when suspicious behavior between Petty and a male inmate was noticed by detention staff.

Petty's security clearance to work inside the detention center was revoked and the inmate was removed from kitchen duties incidents allegedly occurring in a storage area.

Petty bonded out of the Blaine County detention center and is no longer employed by Summit Food Services. Online court records indicate Petty is set to be arraigned on charges on Feb. 25.
