TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - Downtown Twin Falls celebrated the start of the holidays with a lights parade.
Residents swarmed downtown as different companies and organizations went down Main Street, showing off their floats and cars while handing out candy and other items.
The celebration also had choir students from several Twin Falls schools, singing and playing instruments.
Many families and kids looked excited to be able to celebrate with the community.
Parade goer Charlee Ferrenburg said, "My favorite thing was getting to see Santa Claus."
The parade ended with lighting of the new Christmas tree right across from city hall.
The city manager said this was the first time in about 50 years that the city has a Christmas tree.
