HANSEN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - A passing dump truck that struck a stationary boom truck sent two people to the hospital Monday morning near the Rock Creek General Store.

The Daniel Milliken, 33, of Filer, was in the boom of a stationary truck trimming trees when a dump truck hauling gravel, driven by John Hadam, 85, of Eden, stuck the boom truck. The Twin Falls Highway District boom truck was parked facing south in the northbound lane for workers to trim trees, according to Idaho State Police. The gravel truck was traveling north on 3800 East when it collided with the boom truck.

The impact pushed the truck into other workers, Kody Craner, 43, of Twin Falls and Arthur Clark, 43, of Kimberly, and sent Milliken to the ground. Milliken was flown via air ambulance and Craner was taken via ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

The accident completely blocked the road.

The incident occurred at about 9:45 a.m., and Idaho State Police is investigating the incident.
