JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The final phase of the South Tiger Drive reconstruction project in Jerome begins Friday.
The project is located between Main Street and Nez Perce Avenue. Starting Monday, the intersection of South Tiger and Nez Perce will be closed to all traffic.
Crews will be widening the intersection to improve the turn radius which will provide better visibility and safety. The final phase of the project is anticipated to be complete by May.
“The project started last year when it was shut down during the winter because of the weather and it's starting back up again now that the weather is getting a little bit better and it will be going on for about eight weeks,” said Tyson Carpenter, Jerome city engineer.
South Tiger was closed Thursday as well, as crews worked on irrigation connections.
