TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - Crews responded to a wildfire that started one mile north of Shoshone Wednesday morning.
The Bureau of Land Management, Shoshone Fire Department and the U.S. Forest Service responded to a wildfire behind the Shoshone landfill. The fire started at about 10:30 a.m. and had burned about 10 acres as of early afternoon.
The fire is being called the Transfer Fire. Crews expect to have the fire contained by 6 p.m. and controlled by about 8 p.m.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but is believed to be human caused.
