Friend speaks out in support of Idaho nurse linked to Kelsey Berreth case

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Krystal Lee Kenney’s best friend is speaking on camera for the first time, defending the woman who pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence in connection to the Kelsey Berreth case.

Michelle Stein, Kenney’s best friend, sat down with CBS This Morning and reporter Nikki Battiste, to talk about the Hansen nurse, connected to accused murderer Patrick Frazee.

Frazee is accused of killing his fiancé Kelsey Berreth, the Colorado mom last seen on Thanksgiving.

In a statement in court Friday, Kenney said she learned that Frazee had killed someone.

Kenney says she moved "the victim's cellphone" in the days after Thanksgiving to keep it from law enforcement.

Stein now speaking for the first time, saying “she's an extremely good person that got put into a very bad situation,” Stein explained.
