HAILEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A Hailey man was taken to the hospital following a head-on collision with a snowplow early Monday morning.

The Blaine County Sheriff’s office said Corban James Napualani McBride, 25, of Hailey, was driving a 2013 Dodge Avenger south on Highway 75 when he struck a snowplow. The sheriff’s office said in a news release that the snowplow was driving northbound in the center lane on Highway 75, just north of East Fork Road. The Idaho Transportation Department snowplow, driven by Benjamin D. Daniels, 25, of Hailey, sustained moderate damage to the front of the plow.

McBride was taken to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The crash occurred at about 12:33 a.m. and the sheriff’s office believes alcohol may be been a factor in the crash. The sheriff’s office said criminal charges may be filed pending McBride’s lab results.
