Highway 95 reopens after landslide closes stretch near Council

COUNCIL, Idaho (CBS 2) — The landslide that closed a stretch of Highway 95 on Monday has been cleared and the highway is back open.

According to the Idaho Transportation Department, the landslide occurred north of Council. Crews shut down the highway between Mill Creek Road and the Little Salmon Bridge near News Meadows.

Drivers were encouraged to use an alternate route.
