I-84 closed from I-86 JCT to Utah border closed to severe weather

(KMVT/KSVT) — Idaho Transportation Department closed a section of Interstate 84 from the Interstate 86 junction to the Utah border Thursday afternoon due to low visibility.

A crash between Exit 173 and Exit 182 east of Jerome blocked the left westbound lane shortly after 4 p.m. The road reduced to one lane.

A section of State Highway 81 from Declo to Malta also closed due to expected blowing snow, according to the ITD website.

A section of State Highway 24 from the Lincoln County Line to South 2700 closed due to surface water hazard.

A section of U.S. Highway 30 between Buhl to Magic Water’s Road closed due to blowing snow.

A section of State Highway 21 closed between Warm Springs Creek Airport Road and Seafoam Road, about 17-35 miles south of the Stanley area, due to avalanche risk.
