JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Just before 7 Monday evening emergency crews responded to a two vehicle accident just east of the Jerome airport.

The collision between a pickup and a sedan sent the driver of the pickup to St. Alphonsus in Boise via air ambulance with severe injuries.

A reporter on the scene said it appears the pickup truck rolled and the driver of the sedan was possibly extricated from the wreckage.

The driver of the sedan was not transported and remained on scene waiting for a tow truck.

Idaho State Police is still investigating the crash and looking into whether or not seat belts were worn.

Traffic was diverted for about an hour.

KMVT will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
