US Highway 26 in Lincoln County, from Ohlinger Road west of Shoshone, to the US Highway 93 junction will be under construction.
According to an ITD news release, the work includes curb ramp improvements to better comply with the Americans with disabilities act, as well as upgrading storm sewers, in addition to restoring about 5 miles of US 26.
Travelers will see reduced speeds, and should be prepared for short delays.
ITD plans to replace a few bridges in Cassia County on Interstate 86. They expect work to begin next week on three bridges that span the Raft River. About one mile of the interstate will be reconstructed.
ITD said in a press release, the current bridges were built in the 60s and have exceeded their life expectancy.
The new structures will be taller and wider, accommodating two 12-foot lanes in each direction of the interstate.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone and motorists could see minor delays. Construction on the project is expected to be done within a year.
