The Jerome City Fire Department battled a blaze at a recreational vehicle home late Monday morning. The fire broke out on the 800 block of West Avenue B a little after 11 a.m.
Other mobile homes were in danger, but crews were able to contain the fire to just the one RV trailer.
Jerome City Fire Chief Jeremy Presnell said no one was injured or home at the time of the fire, however two dogs were found dead inside.
Presnell said the trailer is a total loss. Officials have made contact with the resident and the American Red Cross will be temporarily assisting the man.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A KMVT reporter on scene said Shoshone Rural Fire District and Magic Valley Paramedics are on scene as well.
