The Idaho Department of Labor recently launched an online job search tool to help job seekers and students make informed training and careers decisions.

The new tool is called JobScape and can be found on the DOL website, see right-hand column for link.

The tool provides a snapshot of occupations in Idaho including a description, hourly and annual wages, demand for workers, current employment numbers and annual job openings, according to a DOL news release.

Users can view the typical entry-level education required for each occupation, in addition to the number of certificates and degrees earned at Idaho public post-secondary education institutions.

The website also provides Web links to current job opening, and information on educational and training programs in Idaho, according to the news release.

The JobScape initiative was funded by a State Longitudinal Data System grant, which was awarded to Idaho from the U.S. Department of Education.
