Light up a Life; remembering lost loved ones during holidays

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Taking care of those who've lost someone can be especially important during the holiday season.

St. Luke's Magic Valley is hosting its annual Light up a Life event coming up this Thursday, December 6th.

You and your family are invited to attend the free gathering to remember loved ones who have passed on.

From 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., there will be tips on surviving the holiday season, a message from a chaplain, music and light refreshments.
In previous years it was held in the lobby, this year it will be in the downstairs Oak Room.

“That way it's more of a contained area,” said Tracia Deal, chaplain. “We can do some really cool things with the lighting as that is one of the symbols that we are using to represent the lives that have been lost.”
The service will also focus on celebration of life.

Spiritual care staff will be on hand to provide support and additional resources.
