TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) A Missoula performance art group is making sure Twin Falls children have a chance to express themselves in unique ways.
Missoula Children's Theater made it's way to Lincoln Elementary School on Wednesday to put on an interactive rendition play of the literary fairy tale The Princess and the Pea.
"During our assembly we teach the kids something about, like how you don't need a script or everything that a Broadway play needs. We're doing a rendition of the Princess and the Pea but it's called the Princess and the Penguin," said Kelsey Seals, tour actor and director.
The group has traveled to more than 16 countries and aim to provide life skills through performing arts.
"Imagination is a big focus on what we're trying to spread," said Bex Schmelzeo, a performer. "Showing kids that they can achieve a lot just with their imaginations and that they don't need a lot of extra tangible supplies to be able to create something really cool and creative."
The group performed for Bickel and Oregon Trail Elementary schools as well.
The Magic Valley Arts Council sponsored the event.
