KETUCHUM, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — One Ketchum family recently had an unexpected guest blocking their home.

Michel Sewell said the female moose visited the family’s condo off Warm Springs Road and was there from about 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., blocking the main entrance. The family was able to sneak out by scrambling over their neighbor’s porches. They went out to dinner and when they returned she was gone.
The Sewells took video of the moose outside their condo.
Sewell said this past weekend another moose showed up and perched atop a big snowbank outside their house. Sewell said they’ve lived in the area for 12 years and haven’t seen wildlife so close.
Sewell called it a wonderful surprise and said it’s been an amazing winter.
