Police arrest juvenile in connection to rash of burglaries

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - The Twin Falls Police Department said they arrested a juvenile male in connection to a rash of vehicle burglaries in Twin Falls and across the Magic Valley.

Authorities said they arrested the male at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The primary items that were stolen have been guns left inside vehicles overnight.

According to a press release, detectives were able to recover a possible stolen handgun at the time of the arrest, but the owner of the particular handgun has not filed a police report yet.

Two other stolen guns were recovered after a search warrant was conducted at the juvenile's home.

Police ask those living in the Magic Valley and left weapons in their vehicle to check if is still there.

Police encourage people who are missing items that may have been taken during the burglary to call their local law enforcement agency.

Detectives encourage the community to not leave valuable items in vehicles overnight, especially weapons.
