TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - An estimate of $700 million. That's what the Powerball jackpot is up to right now.
"The first thing that I'd do is probably buy my dream home," lottery player, Rhainie Ohlensehlen says if she wins the lottery.
Everyone has that one dream if they win the lottery and some can miss out on the chance. Not everyone knew that the Powerball is at its second highest. Jerry Grundmann just happened to be cruising along the road.
“I just saw the sign flash the $650 million, I thought let's go and buy the ticket"
The first largest Powerball jackpot was last January with $1.6 billion and was split three ways.
Even if the winning is at its second largest, some people still don't think it's worth it.
“The chances of winning just don't sway me enough to buy one,” Joseph Howell says on why he doesn’t buy lottery tickets. However, others think the complete opposite.
David Heinzen thinks it is worth it. “That's a pretty good gamble. I spent $6, so if I hit it, that's definitely worth given the $6."
His dreams, along as others dream is also big. “I’m just going to take a couple months and go to some island and relax and think about what I'd like to do with it," Heinzen speaks about his dreams if he wins.
Grundmann also says he would just take care of his kids and his home and probably give some away.
