Rupert celebrates new Boys and Girls Club
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Magic Valley officially has a new location, after they held a ribbon cutting ceremony at their Rupert club.
The Rupert mayor, the school superintendent and the president of the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of the Magic Valley all gave speeches, thanking the community for their support.
Gregg Middlekauff, president of the board of directors for the club, had high praises for the city.
"Rupert was probably the most dialed in community that we have ever dealt with, the community was on board, the superintendent was on board, the city of Rupert was on board, the school district was on board, everybody and it just came together,” Middlekauff explained.
Middlekauff also said that the process of opening a new location usually takes four or five years, but the city of Rupert gathered together and got it accomplished in two.
