Santa, Mrs. Claus and elves help serve lunch to Lincoln Elementary students

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - Santa, Mrs. Claus and elves were at Lincoln Elementary School in Twin Falls Wednesday afternoon, serving Christmas lunch and candy canes.

Students lined up to get their food and looked eager to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. The duo passed out candy canes and wished them all a Merry Christmas.

This is the second year Santa visited Lincoln Elementary.

"I feel happy because Santa's here giving out candy," said student Dean Peters.

Jim Boyle, who plays Santa, said they started it because his granddaughter asked him to since he and his wife like to dress up for holidays.

"It's a really good thing. To see the smile on the kid's faces, that's the best part of Christmas," Boyle said.

He said they plan on coming back next year to see the kids again.
