BUHL, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — UPDATE: About 60 Idaho Power customers were without power part of the day Monday after equipment being hauled by a dump truck pulled on a guy wire along Clear Lakes Road.

Buhl Police Lt. Kevin Hanners said the dump truck was towing a backhoe. As it turned into a gravel parking area the guy wire became stuck on the bucket. This pulled three power poles over and damaged a fourth. No one was injured.

Idaho Power said the outage began just before 10 a.m. with an estimated restoration time of 4:30 p.m. Idaho Power sent multiple crews to the area to replace the poles and restore power.

Hanners said the road was blocked until Idaho Power crews finished their work.

A viewer sent KMVT a couple photos of a power pole suspended among some power lines.
