ALBION, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - Pomerelle Mountains has it's first snow for the season, but a manager says it is not unusual for late-September.

Zack Alexander, mountain manager at Pomerelle, says "We've seen snow every month of the year and it's not uncommon to get snow in September. It definitely seems like a shock considering it was 80 degrees last week but we're ready this time of year. It can come at any given time and we know that and we're always ready."

Alexander told us they already started preparations for the upcoming winter.

The goal is to have the mountain slopes open by Thanksgiving and season passes are now on sale.
