St. Luke's Children's Advisory Committee continues to help pediatric patients in need

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - A Children's Advisory Committee continues to provide assistance for families and children in need here in the Magic Valley.

The committee includes volunteers across the Magic Valley, helping pediatric patients get the care they need.

One part of their mission is to distribute grant opportunities. Some of the money was used to purchase helmets, along with a vision screening for children.

All money granted stays local in south central Idaho.

"One thing I think is very unique about this program is 100 percent of the donations go to the children, there's no administrative cost," said Mike Felton, the assistant chairman of the committee.

"We've gotten to help a lot of families, we've gotten meet families within our community. It's a great way to be part of an organization that is always out there to help a family," said volunteer Cindy Collins.

To help the committee and the Children's Miracle Network, you can donate to their partnering businesses Dairy Queen, Walmart and Costco.
