KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Stricker Elementary is ready for its doors to open on Aug. 27.

The new school is taking about half of Kimberly Elementary School's students, bringing in about 500 students, with those living south of Center Street going to Kimberly, and those north of Center going to Stricker.

Principal Jacob Massey said that people were excited to see the school when they came for registration on Wedensday.

"People were excited, yeah, again, that support really spilled over, people are excited to get to see their classrooms, and they can do that on back-to-school night, Massey said. "We've had lot of folks impressed with the facilities and excited to use it, and again, it's just exactly what we need."

Massey also said that teachers have been excited to come in and get their classrooms set up.
