Three Jerome residents arrested following multiple pursuits

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Three Jerome residents were arrested Sunday following multiple pursuits.

Jerome Police Chief Dan Hall says it all happened when an officer observed a vehicle at East Avenue I and South Lincoln that didn't stop and made jerking motions.

The officer pulled over the car on West Avenue D. The male passenger, identified as Cesar Valdez–Castillo, 22, got out and started running.

The driver, Cesar's sister Guadelupe Valdez-Castillo, 20, was arrested. Police found a stolen handgun.

An officer chased Cesar. He ignored her commands and she spotted him getting into a car driven by Misal Mendoza, 21.

The pair led authorities on a pursuit into Gooding county. They pulled over on the frontage road near Wendell Exit 157 and ran into a corn field. That's as far as they got.

All face multiple charges.

Cesar already had a warrant, but he is being charged for unlawful possession of a firearm, eluding, possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.

Guadelupe is charged with obstructing officers and misdemeanor eluding.

Mendoza is facing felony eluding, aiding in a misdemeanor and failure to purchase a driver's license.
