TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Richard Ross was arraigned before the Twin Falls 5th District Court after leaving his daughter in a hot car, which resulted in her death.

“Yes, your honor, my client would like to enter a not guilty plea," said Ross’s attorney Michael Danielson.

Ross is charged with a felony offense of involuntary manslaughter. Back on June 23 he left his 10-month old daughter unattended in a hot car and she died.

If he is convicted of this offense, it carries a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison or a fine up to $10,000. On Friday, Dec. 22 he entered a not guilty plea. His jury trial has been scheduled for April 24.
