Twin Falls Police Department dons green to support little girl

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Leighton "Zella" Egan is a joyful, three year-old girl. At 14 months old, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a group of disorders that affect balance, movement, and muscle tone.

Zella's father Nate is an officer with the Twin Falls Police Department. He spearheaded the effort to get the department to wear green each March following her diagnosis, as a show of awareness for CP.

Fellow officer and family friend Matt Gealta has also shown support by wearing green.

Sara Egan, Zella's mother stopped by our studio on Saturday, along with Matt and Nate. She sported a #ZellasTribe shirt which can be purchased if you would like to own one yourself. You can reach her or Nate on Facebook for more details.
