Twin Falls boy named state ambassador for Muscular Dystrophy Association

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - In January, 8-year-old Jacob Bottinger was named the state ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

At age 4, Jacob was diagnosed with a form of congenital muscular dystrophy, or CMD, a genetic degenerative disease affecting voluntary muscles.

As an ambassador, Jacob will go throughout the Gem State raising awareness for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other life threatening diseases affecting the muscles.
