PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (KMVT/KSVT) Two Idaho high school students presented their research projects Friday at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Pittsburgh.
Twin Falls High School junior Kayson Hansen and Timberline High School senior Alex Howard of Boise earned 4th place category awards at the international competition.
Hansen also garnered an honorable mention from the American Mathematical Society.
Howard was named the statewide SJWP winner and is advancing to the national challenge June 15-16 at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. If he wins there he would advance to another international competition in Stockholm, Sweden.
