Two semi-truck crash blocks Highway 30, hazmat called

(KMVT/KSVT) — A two-semi truck crash blocked part of US Highway 30 between Hansen and Murtaugh.

Idaho State Police is investigating the crash that occurred Tuesday at about 7:53 a.m. near mile post 232, east of Hansen. ISP says both lanes of travel were blocked for about 2.5 hours.

Idaho State Police said Vance E. Pulsipher, 60, of Twin Falls, was traveling eastbound on US30 in a Volvo semi-truck pulling double trailers. Francisco Castillo, 65, of Jerome, was traveling westbound on US30 in a Kenworth fertilizer truck. Pulsipher failed to yield as he was attempting to turn onto East 3700 North, and struck Castillo's semi-truck.

Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt.

The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office website is on scene. In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s Office said hazmat and fire crews were on scene cleaning up the area.
