UPDATE: Two people seriously injured in crash near Buhl
UPDATE: A driver and his passenger were injured after going through an intersection and being struck by another vehicle.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Monday, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the crash at an intersection southeast of Buhl.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said Rolando Torres, 28, of Twin Falls, drove eastbound in a pickup truck on 4000 north when he failed to stop at a stop sign. Torres’ pickup was struck by a car driving northbound on 1700 East by Kevin Gonzalez, 23, of Buhl.
The man riding in Torres’ pickup was trapped and extricated by Buhl Fire Department. Torres and his passenger were taken by ground with serious injuries.
The sheriff’s office cited Torres for failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to have a valid license, operating a vehicle without a registration, no insurance and not wearing a seat belt. Deputies also cited Gonzalez for failure to have a valid driver’s license and not wearing a seat belt.

A two-vehicle accident in Buhl sent two people to the hospital Monday night.
The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office said the call came in at about 7:09 p.m. on 1700 East, 4000 North.
A spokesperson said one vehicle ran a stop sign, hitting another vehicle.
Two people were taken to St. Luke's Magic Valley, one via ambulance and one via personal vehicle.
