That’s the idea the United Way of South Central Idaho came up with to fund various education and health initiatives.
With their connections, Westerra Real Estate and Putter’s Mini Golf teamed up to grant them a half acre lot in Kanaka Rapids.
The United Way is now working with other organizations to build the home by the Snake River Canyon.
“Obviously, there will be some costs that are not going to be able to be donated, which can be backed out of the proceeds,” said Sonya Haines of the United Way. “However, we’re hoping that we can get as much as possible donated, which ultimately goes back into the community.”
Work on the house can officially start this week, but they need all the help they can get with material and labor. Anyone wishing to donate can call 208-733-4922.
