According to Idaho State Police, on January 15 at approximately 9 a.m., authorities investigated a one-vehicle injury crash westbound I-84, near Jerome.

Jason Dandois, 28, of Twin Falls, was going westbound in a 2000 Ford Explorer. Patricia Hermann, 30, of Twin Falls, and Rusty Davis, 23, of Jerome, were passengers in the vehicle.

Officials believe the Ford went off the right shoulder and rolled, resting on the north side of Frontage Road.

None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts. All three people were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley by ground ambulance.

Jerome County Sheriff's Office, Jerome Fire and Jerome County EMS assisted in the investigation.

The crash is still under investigation by ISP.

UPDATE (12:30 p.m):
Road conditions contributed to a crash that sent three people to St. Luke’s in Jerome.

Idaho State Police said the SUV was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 near Jerome exit 168 Tuesday morning when it rolled, crossing the Frontage Road and coming to rest on the other side of Frontage Road.

The crash is still under investigation, but ISP said the three occupants were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle. The condition of the patients was not available.

"They lost control due to the weather conditions." ISP Trooper Jordan Taylor said. "Crossed down through the borough pit, rolled across the frontage road. There were three occupants, none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts. Due to that, all three occupants were thrown from the vehicle. The crash is still under investigation at this time."

ISP troopers said their agencies responded to nearly a dozen weather related morning crashes.

"We had quite a few slide offs and rollovers today," Trooper Taylor said. "All due to the road conditions. We just encourage people to slow down, increase their following distance, and give themselves plenty of reaction time."

KMVT will add more information when it becomes available.
